Google Calendar

Google Calendar is a free product and Google doesn't charge you to receive SMS notifications. This is the main reason that why I LOVE Google Calendar.

In Malaysia, only Celcom and Maxis supported.

Google Calendar SMS Reminder

Before set the sms reminder to the event, the Mobile setting have to activate and verify. Refer Google Calendar SMS Setting

1. Login to Google Calendar
2. Click Create Event
3. Enter the Event information


4. In the Option Section (Grey section), click Add a reminder

5. Google Calender provide 3 type of reminder ( Email, Popup and SMS). Choose SMS from the combo box and select the time to sent.


6. Save and done.

Google Calendar SMS Setting

1. Go to http://calendar.google.com and login with your Google Account.
2. Click Manage Calendar from the left bottom menu.

3. In Calendar settings menu, Click Mobile Setup from the top tab.

4. Select Country. (Malaysia default)
5. Enter your phone no (must include country code +601x-xxxxxxx )
6. Click Send Verification Code button and the verification code will sent to you immediately.

7. Check your SMS.
8. Enter the Verification Code.

9. Success and Done.
